"... Katrina and Roberto gave us sublime music .. gorgeous playing and arrangements .." Second Sunday Concert Series, Glasgow
Music in Rannoch is delighted to welcome Chilean guitarist Roberto Kuhn Versluys and Yorkshire violinist Katrina Lee to give a Sunday afternoon concert in the lovely setting of The Old Church.
The duo will perform a lively and popular programme of music from Romania, Italy, Scotland and Argentina.
Music includes Bartok's evocative Romanian Folk Dances, the beautiful Cantabile by Paganini, the duo's own arrangements of Scottish folk melodies, and the soulful and swaying tango rhythms of Piazzolla's Oblivion and Libertango.

Roberto and Katrina are two highly talented musicians who met while both studying for a masters degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In May 2017 they made their debut performance touring Chile, South America.
The charisma and charm of their playing, and their musical interaction has been described as "exciting and fully engaging", creating "a warmth that very few achieve". Their somewhat unusual combination of bowed and plucked instruments adds to the fascination, and the duo has an ambition to increase the available repertoire with their own arrangements and transcriptions.
Alongside recitals, they have also held workshops in schools, focusing on helping to deliver aspects of the curriculum to children and bringing live music into a learning environment.
Tickets are £8 at the door, with free admission for children. Refreshments (a glass of wine or a soft drink, and nibbles) will be served during the interval.
