Plants, insects and fungi exist in amazing variety in the glen. Spring is host to a carpet of spring flowers while late summer and autumn enjoy all kinds of fungi of many shapes and sizes, both edible and deadly poisonous.
As a result of very few chemicals being used on the farms in the area, insects abound including some rare moths including the Rannoch Looper, Kentish Glory and Rannoch Brindled Beauty.
